Working across EMEA, as a Controls Engineer, you will be joining an experienced team working closely with the global operations team acting as the SME and lead smaller scale project delivery.

As an SME for Controls projects you will be interacting with other internal and external teams, including the design engineering, site engineering, regional operations teams, onsite support vendors and consultants, whist ensuring they adhere to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Principal Job Responsibilities ​

Tasks and responsibilities are expected to include;-

  • To be the team Subject Matter Expert (SME) BMS Controls, PLC, Scada, and Server protection
  • Provide support to EMEA sites to resolve BMS, PLC, Cyber Security issues
  • Collaborate closely with Global Operations Engineering team
  • Keep the team updated with security legislation and compliance
  • Ensure engineering infrastructure is maintained, operated and managed in accordance with the appropriate standards to ensure the reliability and performance to ensure the highest possible SLA.
  • Evaluating, maintaining and modifying existing installed systems
  • Working collaboratively with design engineers, technical facilities teams, operations engineers and other internal staff on the design, specification, installation, testing and setting to work of new systems
  • Collaborating closely with suppliers and contractors in regard to new and installed systems
  • Assisting site based Engineers with troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Providing advice and consultancy support
  • Understanding and ensuring compliance with safe working systems, safety laws and quality standards of both the company and the country in which work is undertaken
  • Support for Incident Management reporting, Change Management, Critical Maintenance Requests (CMR)
  • Knowledge of the following processes Incident management, Change management, Critical maintenance request, Route Cause Analysis
  • Staff/Financial Responsibilities

    Project budget monitoring and reporting. High level projected budget costs

    Working Relationships ​

    Technical Facility Managers and Directors across a range of sites in EMEA.

    Multiple suppliers in EMEA region

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid authorisation to travel and work within EMEA regions
  • Technical degree or equivalent, with extensive experience of BMS/SCADA/PLC systems, ideally utilised in a datacentre or other critical environment, such as hospitals, pharma where significant mechanical services exist
  • Experience of Wonderware platform highly desirable
  • Knowledge of UPS systems, Generators, Chillers, CHW systems, transformers, switchgear
