Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager, New Business to join us in Puteaux, France. In this role, you will work with partners and prospective clients to identify and create sales opportunities in your assigned territory. You'll work under a partnership agreement while promoting Red Hat products and services, and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with these key partners. As a Sales Account Manager, New Business, you will open and develop new accounts in the mid market space and manage sales, customer satisfaction, and Red Hat partner engagement within your assigned territory.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Successfully sell the company's products or services in the field through and with designated partners
  • Call on prospective customers across all verticals, providing technical and administrative product information and demonstrations, and quote appropriate customer prices
  • Develop and expand new accounts within an established territory
  • Understand the customer's business and product requirements
  • Achieve sales objectives
  • Guide territory plans that meet Red Hat's expectations
  • Required skills

  • 3+ years of direct sales experience or quota carrier with a track record of success, preferably in the software or IT industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of companies and sales opportunities within your assigned territory
  • Good command of complete sales cycle management, from prospecting to closing
  • Understanding of infrastructure, cloud, and automation software; understanding of UNIX or Linux, virtualization, middleware, cloud, or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) is a plus
  • Passion for open source technology
  • Significant success in selling with key partners in France
  • Excellent written and verbal French and English communication skills
