In doing this we will further broaden our capabilities, which allows us to continue to be true industry experts and effective Business Partners. It means we can collaborate with more focus and insights, providing solutions which will only add greater value to our customers. After RE-THINKING how we worked internally, we are also building a new Sales Operations team, designed to streamline the way we work - creating more time for our Sales people to sell. The Role - Sector Lead, Trade and Industry The largest industry vertical - this role has 9 direct reports who manage approximately 40 sales staff members. In this role you are reporting to our Director of Sales, sitting on the Sales Leadership team with 6 other Sales Leaders. Bring your trade knowledge and industry expertise to hunt out more opportunities and further develop our offerings - we are looking for a person who can drive change while taking their teams on the journey. Your key responsibilities are: Lead strategic management of the Trade and Industry vertical by developing, documenting, allocating accountability and tracking execution of Sales Strategy for the Services Sector Contribute to internal Product Development processes by sharing customer and Trade and Industry Sector sales insights, product gaps and ideas for new offerings Drive the identification of opportunities, sales leads, and referrals to grow sales and capture new accounts in the Trade and Industry Sector Lead the Trade and Industry Sector team to cross‐sell, up‐sell, and seize opportunities to grow the "Share of Wallet" Build strong relationships and loyalty with key Trade and Industry Sector customers, leaders, suppliers, and sector organisations Develop capability and best practice in commercial acumen and Business to Business negotiation across the Trade and Industry Sector Lead the resolution of significant or strategic customer, resource and process issues or escalations through internal and external collaboration and negotiation Ensure accurate and transparent forecasting, compliance with S&OP processes and sales activity planning across the Trade and Industry Sector team Work with the Sales Leadership team and Business Insights team to implement strategy, commercial profitability, operational excellence and process innovation initiatives Drive long-term Trade and Industry Sector growth through applying business insights and market intelligence to target opportunities and new customers Grow the value and reputation of the OfficeMax Brand Guide the achievement of sales revenue, gross profit, margin %, and conversion targets through coaching and problem-solving What you will bring: Experience in Sales leadership experience in complex businesses or markets Strong experience working within the Trade and Industry sector within New Zealand preferred Previous experience working collaboratively with Sales Management Teams Demonstrated experience in complex customer negotiations A track record of lifting both individual and team capability Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strategic thinker with demonstrated input across all business areas People and Culture Our people are genuine, and proactive solution finders.
