In 2019, the Learning Planet Institute and UNESCO joined forces to launch the LearningPlanet initiative, which has since federated a global community of organizations (institutions, universities, social entrepreneurs, associations, artists, media, etc.) committed to all key areas related to the future, especially that of young people: education, health, well-being, rights, the fight against inequality, sustainable development, etc, The LearningPlanet festival organized around the International Education Day (January 24th) is a hybrid event (online / face-to-face) that brings together hundreds of organizations each year to celebrate formal and informal learning. The ambition of the festival is to celebrate promising initiatives, to give them visibility and to encourage global citizens to get involved in education and training and to launch as many new local initiatives as possible. Open to all and distributed in multiple venues in the spirit of Fete de la Musique, this festival aims to highlight the many ways people learn today and offers a wide variety of formats (presentations, conferences, workshops, hackathons, artistic activities, etc.). The creation of the position of Event Manager aims to: steer the organization of the annual Festival internationally, capitalise on the tailor made festival digital platform and the Alliance's global network of partners, to create and animate an online event program throughout the year. Key figures The LearningPlanet Festival 2023 edition +600 events (Paris/France/World) +500 participating organizations +191 countries represented Job Description Reporting to the LearningPlanet Alliance Director, you will be responsible for: Proposing an annual program of events (online and in-person) directly under the responsibility of the Learning Planet Institute from the idea to its implementation (programming, calendar, budget, management of service providers, etc.) Manage the relationship with the speakers Promote the events upstream via multilingual online and offline communication supports, design the different supports (invitation, registration, participation file, program...), and in real time Monitor registrations to increase participation and engagement (PR, communication, social networks, etc.) while ensuring the quality of the participant experience Develop partnerships and manage institutional relations Manage spin-offs, draw up reports (financial, economic, etc.), control administrative follow-up (invoicing), communicate on results, conduct satisfaction surveys with the public and internal teams in order to devise areas for improvement for future editions/events. Accompany the partners of the LearningPlanet ecosystem in the handling and deployment of the event platform Keeping an eye on new trends and practices in events (environmental responsibility, inclusion, prevention, etc.) Preferred Experience More than 5 years of experience in event project management, preferably in the world of international events and/or festivals, you are used to interacting with many interlocutors from different cultures; you know how to adapt your relationship to each type of interlocutor, especially VIPs. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and in French. You have experience in organizing online events, a real mastery of digital video-conferencing tools and a good knowledge of dedicated event platforms You are recognized for your organizational skills, your rigor, your autonomy, your dynamism, your relational qualities, your team spirit, your curiosity and your spirit of initiative. You are interested in the world of education in a broad sense. You have an artistic sensitivity and have already participated in initiatives in this field (e.g. festival, exhibition, show).
