After RE-THINKING how we worked internally, we are also building a new Sales Operations team, designed to streamline the way we work - creating more time for our Sales people to sell. We are more than what you expect - RE-THINK what you know about OfficeMax - you will be surprised! The Role - GM, Sales Operations A NEW DEPARTMENT FOR OFFICEMAX! The Sales Operations department looks after all the functions and tools that we use to support our customers from onboarding them to post sale support. Responsible for preparing sales orders and quotes, providing product information, answering customer queries, and standardising our sales support processes. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role supports it all, with the two main focus points being to increase sales productivity and ensuring our customers continue to receive a smooth and efficient service (this includes ensuring that we use our CRM, Salesforce effectively). With 4 direct reports and approximately 80 staff underneath them - this is one of our biggest commercial changes in Sales. Your key responsibilities are: Innovation in Sales Operations Seek opportunities for innovation in OfficeMax's Sales systems and operations Drive improved shared processes and technology through collaboration with Sales, Merchandise, IT and Operations Generate insights through seeking and interpreting key data and metrics and apply to improve Sales capability and capacity as well as supply chain performance Embed a culture of curiosity and innovation within the Sales Operations function Lead and champion change projects within the department Excellence in Sales Operations Drive the uptake of robust S&OP and Demand Forecasting processes to optimise profitability Benchmark and share Sales best practice with the Sales Lead team to drive excellence in ROI and resource allocation Work with the Sales Leadership and Business Insights team to prioritise strategy, commercial profitability, operational excellence, Sales Incentive Programmes, and process innovation Monitor and improve the gathering of Market Intelligence to support agility and risk mitigation in sales planning Champion the customer view to create a customer-centric Sales ethic across the teams and OfficeMax Align the team's priorities with other parts of the Sales functions to ensure effective customer satisfaction and delivery Drive talent development to ensure engagement and sustainability within the Sales Operations function Coach delivery, behaviours, and performance across all levels of the team Champion OfficeMax's commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing What you will bring: Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Technology, Business or equivalent 5+ years Sales or Operations leadership experience Demonstrated experience in complex leading change and transformation processes A proven track record of lifting team capability Proven experience in optimising Salesforce is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strategic thinker with demonstrated input across all business areas People and Culture Our people are genuine, and proactive solution finders.
