The Express Scripts Medicare Compliance Officer will partner closely with cross-functional leaders across the organization to identify and mitigate compliance risks. The Express Scripts Medicare Compliance Officer will serve as the key compliance resource for Medicare Part D. Candidates must be highly organized with the ability to effectively interact with various audiences including internal partners, health plan clients, as well as federal and state regulators. Key Duties and Responsibilities Maintaining open lines of communication with Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Director- Evernorth Benefits Management regarding Medicare Compliance Program matters. Leading a team of compliance professionals responsible for assisting in the oversight and administration of the Medicare Part D Compliance Program. Partnering closely with leaders across the Cigna enterprise including Legal, Government Affairs, Enterprise Risk Management, Operations and Internal Audit. Serving as Chair of the Express Scripts Medicare Compliance Committee. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive Medicare Compliance work plan in coordination with overall Compliance Department work plans. Developing and maintaining comprehensive auditing and monitoring plans. Maintaining the Express Scripts Medicare Compliance Plan Summary. Coordinating the annual Medicare Part D Risk Assessment. Collaborating with Internal Audit on development of the annual audit plan. Managing the oversight of first tier, downstream and related (FDR) entities. Responding to compliance concerns posed by regulators, clients and cross-functional partners. Reviewing, understanding and providing guidance, in conjunction with ESI attorneys, on Medicare Part D related regulations and sub-regulatory guidance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field or 12+ years overall experience Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in Medicare Part D or other relevant experience in regulatory oversight, auditing, monitoring and general compliance matters. *Strong background in Medicare Part D or other regulatory compliance programs is needed to be considered. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulation and legal documents. Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail. Team leadership and management experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. * This role is a flex/WAH role and the person will need to go into an office as needed. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
