As AIT Manager, you will lead all spacecraft or subsystem assembly, integration, and testing activities, ensuring the smooth transition of flight hardware from manufacturing through to delivery, launch, and in-orbit readiness. You’ll define and execute AIT strategies, manage multidisciplinary teams, and coordinate with engineering, QA, and program management to ensure technical, schedule, and quality objectives are achieved. The role demands expertise in ECSS/MIL-STD standards, proven leadership in AIT campaigns, and hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing of high-reliability systems.


Key Focus Areas

  • AIT Planning & Strategy — Define AIT flow, procedures, and test sequencing for spacecraft and subsystems.
  • Integration Leadership — Direct cleanroom operations, alignment, and integration campaigns to ECSS/ISO 14644 standards.
  • Test Campaign Oversight — Supervise mechanical (vibration, shock), thermal (TVAC), and electrical (EMC, functional) tests.
  • Documentation & Compliance — Ensure traceability, configuration control, and EIDP delivery per ESA/NASA requirements.
  • Resource & Facility Management — Oversee MGSE/EGSE usage, calibration, and test facility readiness.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management — Lead multidisciplinary teams and act as the interface with internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
  • 7+ years in space or high-reliability AIT environments.
  • Proven record managing AIT campaigns through delivery or launch.
  • Deep knowledge of ECSS and MIL-STD-1540.
  • Experience with PLM/test management tools (Windchill, DOORS, TestRail, SAP).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
